The Outward Bound Trust was founded in 1941 and aims to inspire young people to realise their potential through learning and adventure in the outdoors. It partners with schools, colleges, employers and youth groups to help young people believe in themselves. Outward Bound has helped 1.2million young people and more than 80 per cent of those have received financial support to attend courses.

The Year 8 trip to Outward Bound Aberdovey was a fantastic success, with pupils embracing challenges, developing teamwork, and growing in confidence. Their resilience and enthusiasm were evident throughout, and it was great to see them step out of their comfort zones while supporting one another. The experience not only built valuable life skills but also created lasting memories, making it a highly rewarding trip for all involved.

Centre is ideally located and easily accessible. The instructors are great and really get to know the participants. All pre-course information was relevant and helped the visit leader prepare.
