Plus we offer free teacher places for every 12 pupils booked, included as standard in all our packages. Close to London but with the tranquillity of a woodland location, Scout Adventures Gilwell Park is famous throughout the world for its Scouting heritage, beautiful setting and stunning range of activities. With four modern lodges, plenty of open camping space and spectacular views of the capital, we have 108 acres available for fun and adventure and for young people to experience the freedom of the outdoors. For over 100 years, we've delivered safe, challenging and educational experiences to millions of young people. Less than 25 minutes by train from central London and just 8 minutes' drive from the M25, the location of Gilwell Park means that the great outdoors, and a great adventure, is within easy reach of the capital and beyond.
Our centre is not just a place to visit and stay; it’s a starting point for new adventures, challenges, expeditions and experiences. Choose from a wide range of adventurous activities, from raft-building and high ropes to climbing and traditional outdoor skills. Our activities are all about values-based team work, and can be tailored to your specific learning objectives.
We offer a truly unique multi-cultural experience to every school group that visits. Each year, over 120 volunteers from all around the world join our renowned international residential programme. In return they are trained to deliver activities and adventures alongside our professional staff teams that engage, challenge, inspire, and help create memories for young people!
Burst out of the classroom with our package options:
Outdoor Adventure package. An action-packed programme of 90-minute sessions with over 25 activities to choose from, ideal for challenging young people, building skills, teamwork and having fun.
Adventure 50/50 package. Offering half the number of activities allowing for a more flexible stay giving you the chance to fit in some teacher led sessions or field studies.
Day visit package. If you're short on time or looking to fill a gap in your curriculum, come and visit us for the day. We can cater for smaller classes, or entire year groups, and we have half-day and full-day package options available.

www: Engaging Activities for all pupils and good facilities around the venue with easy access to toilets and outdoor space for pupils. Ebi: It would be nice to have one main instructor for our visit. We feedback that we would like the kitchen to stay open a little bit more. If we run this trip again maybe change the Zipwire activity as it takes long time to set up and not all children have the time to try it.
