Fantastic visit. The staff (in particular Jo Norman) were extremely knowledgeable and gave a thorough and very informative talk about recycling and how this is done in West Sussex.

Not sure there was enough for the children as a lot of time spent in classroom. The viewing platform is a very dusty environment and the children could not see a great deal.

The MRF is an excellent resource for our topic, the children find it fascinating and it shows how much we all still need to remember about what we can and cannot put in our curbside collection bins. The classroom workshop is useful and interactive. The visit to see the recycling plant is an excellent experience for the children who are unlikely to have seen a machine so big and will help them to understand the complex engineering and logistics involved in the recycling process. An excellent trip, and quite low cost as we only pay for the coach travel.

This was an excellent trip which was well organised and met the needs of the children perfectly. The Education office, Jo Norman, had planned a range of relevant and appropriate activities in addition to the viewing of the machinery in action.
