Children engaged in walking Hadrian's wall and seeing Roman Bath house. Museum inside is practical and brings it to life. Workshops are a little slow paced and require children to sit, listen and watch for a prolonged period.

The Roman army workshop was excellent. The children enjoyed the visit, but there was not really enough to occupy them for the full day on the self-led part of the visit. It would have been great if there had been 2 workshops instead of one. Would recommend only going if two workshops are available on the date booked. Otherwise Arbeia in South Shields would be better.
