We had the best day at the Hancock Museum. Each child took part in a Stone Age to Bronze workshop, led by a member of staff at the museum. They had the opportunity to explore objects ranging from replica hand axes to real artefacts including a woolly mammoths tooth. They enjoyed the planetarium experience before using the school iPods to capture their favourite objects found in the rest of the museum. Many happy memories were made by the children and staff!

Planetarium was very informative and pitched at the right level for students. Museum had good exhibits that prompted good discussion.

The children enjoyed their day but organisation was not great.

Definitely a good idea to be familiar with which exhibits are there and using activities to focus children's attention.
