The visit linked effectively to our Industrial Revolution topic. The barge and contrasting class households helped pupils understand transport, industry and social differences. They were able to connect their previous history learning to the visual representations on site. Despite not booking workshops, pupils engaged in several interactive activities which enriched their experience.
