Education rates:
Admission age 4-15: £6.50 ex VAT (£7.80 inc VAT)
Workshop per student: £2.50 ex VAT (£3 inc VAT)
Adults: Free on a 1:6 ratio for primary, 1:10 ratio for secondary
Additional adults: £7 ex VAT (£8.40 inc VAT)
Magna is a science centre with unique learning opportunities. Set in the former Templeborough steelworks, pupils can explore and discover science, technology, design and industrial history in an incredible, hands-on environment.
A typical day is organised around Discovery Time for your group to explore our four pavilions: Air, Earth, Fire and Water; our steel heritage: the Big Melt, Steelos Gallery and the Face of Steel; plus our outdoor facilities. We also offer Science workshops alongside the National Curriculum, targeted for each key stage.

It is a busy day to fit in but well worth it. There is so much to do, and it is VERY hands on and practical which helps to embed the children's learning further.

All our year 4 children loved all the different areas as well as the workshop (forces). the vast hands-on experiences were brilliant which had them queueing up! The outdoor play area was well worth our time too, children would have stayed there for hours too.
