Creating Positive Outdoor Experiences that Connect People to the Landscape

The New Forest Outdoor Centre is situated in the heart of Minstead Manor Estate, surrounded by woodland and with good access into the wider New Forest National Park.

We provide day and residential outdoor activity experiences and work with one group at a time, providing exclusive access to our facilities and activities.

This approach means that we can offer a truly bespoke experience and provide flexibility with our programmes according to the needs of the group and the weather.

We can accommodate 60 people residentially and day experiences for over 200.

Activities

Given the setting of the venue all of our programmes incorporate nature connection.

On site we offer high and low ropes, climbing, raft building, bushcraft and nature based activities, archery, air rifles, orienteering and team tasks.

Offsite we walk, mountain bike and canoe.

We see activities as part of an overall programme rather than discrete experiences.

Accommodation

Groups stay in a combination of 4 person bun bedded shepherd huts and canvas tipi tents. The tents are equipped with cot beds.

There is a central barn, heated with a woodburning stove, and permanent marquee thats acts as the group space for dining, indoor activities and socialising.

Lawns and a campfire circle are adjacent to the buildings.

Catering

All residential programmes are fully catered with food being a key part of a busy outdoor experience.

Hot, wholesome evening meals with a suitable pudding.

Breakfast of cereals and toast with a hot bacon/egg sandwich style option.

A good packed lunch with sandwich, cake, crisps and fruit.

Part of Something Bigger

The New Forest Outdoor Centre is owned and operated by Activate Outdoors Ltd and is a sister centre to Brenscombe Outdoor Centre and Portland Outdoor Centre. Resources, skills, training and learning and shared across the organisation.
