The Lake District Calvert Trust offers outdoor adventure breaks for people with disabilities, alongside their friends, families, carers and peers. At our accessible activity centre, guests can enjoy canoeing, horse riding, swimming, high ropes, climbing and much more. Our inclusive experiences are fun and challenging and create lasting positive impact.
We cater to people of all ages and abilities, even those with profound and complex needs. Our experienced staff are friendly, approachable and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure every guest is included and encouraged.
With lift and ramp access throughout, rooms with ceiling tracking hoists, ensuite wet rooms, shower chairs and changing tables, lockable corridors, profiling beds, medical fridges, interconnection rooms, alarms, monitors, blended food options and adapted activities, we make sure everyone has a safe and supportive environment in which to try new things.
Our residential activity breaks encourage participation for EVERYONE, and create opportunities for achievement and belonging, where every success, however small, is celebrated.

Fantastic centre and wonderful staff. Fully adapted for pupils with additional needs. Beautiful setting in the Lake District

This is a SEND specialist outdoor centre with experienced staff. it offers great opportunities to young people with additional needs. Highly recommend

May not be suited to KS2 as there are also adults groups. Calvert Trust is suitable for pupils with SEND.
