Eden Project WWW (what went well): S - Staff knew the rough plan of the day and first names of children in their group with the use of passport lanyards despite there being a last-minute change in staffing A - Activities were engaging and children enjoyed exploring the biomes G - Children being split into groups and an adult allocated to each group. Adults had first names of children in their group and different fonts used for names if needed e.g. red = medical, blue = no photo and green = SED needed (if this needed to be shared). Reflective jackets were a key to the success of the trip. Sandwich bags used for individual medication. E - Allocation of a room for our school while we were there. Regular toilet stops and sunscreen application. Reflective jackets were key to success of trip D - We had many children requiring travel medication and I feel that we dealt with this well. 2 pupils were poorly but once again, this was dealt with successfully. EBI (even better if): S - 6th member of St Osmund's staff needed. The guided session involved groups exploring the Eden Project as part of a treasure hunt activity and not solely based in the classroom so this member of staff was/is needed A - 6th member of staff was needed G - For me, there were 17/64 pupils who could not have their picture taken, Despite me telling the pupils who could/could not have photos taken, many repeatedly asked and not knowing the pupils made this tricky. Next time, pupils to wear a sticker or the agreement is backs of photos for all? E - It was very busy in some places. The reflective jackets were fundamental in keeping the group together but some children found it too hot in the rainforest biome D - on the whole, children coped really well with distance but maybe somewhere closer in the future?

A longer day would work better as there was limited time to complete the workshops and be able to fully explore the biomes

Well organised trip. May want to leave a bit earlier next time and take a packed lunch.
