The Outward Bound Trust was founded in 1941 and aims to inspire young people to realise their potential through learning and adventure in the outdoors. It partners with schools, colleges, employers and youth groups to help young people believe in themselves. Outward Bound has helped 1.2million young people and more than 80 per cent of those have received financial support to attend courses.

A thoroughly enjoyable 5 days. Good centre (they have plans for a refurb soon). It is a little untidy in some parts and needs a lick of paint. The dorms are ok but again need some TLC. The staff were brilliant and the range of activities excellent. All Year 8s were pushed to the edge of their comfort zones - but told why they were doing it. Brilliant outdoor adventure and challenge. Equipment and choice of activities very good. Suitable for Year 6, 7, 8 & 9
