Loch Insh Outdoor Centre, founded in 1969 by Clive and Sally Freshwater, has continued to provide first class inclusive summer and winter group package holidays and activity days, developing a tried and tested system over the years to offer you the best range of activities to fit your requirements.
Loch Insh Watersports is an AALA Recognized Training Centre (Adventure Activity Licensing Authority) We are also a RYA centre and can deliver BCU certified courses for paddle sports. We work to the standards set by these governing bodies, or AALA, whichever is relevant to the group or area we are operating in. Our Instructors are fully trained and carry radios and mobile phones, which keep them in contact with beach base at all times.
All instructional staff and many non-instructional staff are qualified in first-aid.
We have extensive risk assessments in place and six rescue boats are always on standby when the beach is open. These boats maintain constant contact with the base at the beach.
Our instructors know every inch of the Loch and surrounding forest, and they know which safety areas to use are should the conditions suddenly change.
