Projects Abroad

We are Projects Abroad: global leaders in responsible travel for over 30 years. Since 1992, we’ve helped over 130,000 volunteers and students broaden their horizons through immersive experiences across Africa, Asia, Latin America, Eastern Europe, and the South Pacific.

Combining authentic travel and volunteering with experiential learning, those who travel with us leave with a sense of purpose. While stepping out of their comfort zones and learning new skills, students give back to local communities and work towards global goals together.

We offer programmes in community development, conservation, construction, education, sports, empowerment, human rights, and healthcare, among many others. These projects are designed to contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, broadening the student experience to see the contribution of a few to a movement for global change.

All school trips are individualised. We realise that each school has its own goals and interests, and the students have their own passions. We work with the school to develop a tailored itinerary that reflects their values and allows the students to make a connection with the community in which they serve.
