Knowledge through nature
Since opening in 1977, Rippledown has provided residential trips for schools welcoming over 40,000 primary school children. A visit to Rippledown gives a child the opportunity to engage with the natural world, whilst also for many providing them with their first experience of being away from home in an environment which is ‘Safe, Secure, Sensible and Sociable’.
Come and live at Rippledown for a week and enjoy life by the sea. We offer exciting activities such as rock pooling, mini-beast safari, habitat making, shelter building, garden to plate cooking, night walks and many more.
We're only a walk away from the unique White Cliffs of Dover, so can offer off-site activities such as Day at the Bay, Dover Castle and South Foreland Lighthouse.
At Rippledown we define all learning objectives and run all activities to relate to the current school’s curriculum. A week’s stay will give your class an unparalleled experience encompassing everything that is beneficial for their Personal, Social & Health Education and all other subjects you choose to focus on.
It’s not only the knowledge from the activities your class will take home, it’s the impact of a week living together, eating together and learning together. An experience that will stay with you all forever and has the potential to change lives.
