Outdoor Adventures Start Here
Whitlingham Adventure provides high quality programmes for children, young people and the wider community.
Delivering a range of land and water based outdoor and adventurous activities, with an educational programme for 8 to 19 years.
The site and centre offer:

Transition & Challenge
Helping and challenging young people as they prepare for changes in their learning and development. Activities have a strong focus on teamwork, problem solving and building friendships. Programmes can also be used to develop leadership and communication skills.
Adventure & Curriculum enhancement
Bespoke programmes with a range of adventurous activities to help young people develop and grow. Activities introduce new skills, team building, promote physical exercise and are an excellent way to boost confidence and self-esteem.
After school activities
Choose from our list of activities for individual sessions or a nationally accredited course. Available throughout the week in term time from April to October.
School Games
Providing more opportunities for young people to engage in competitive sport and to achieve their potential through a range of adventurous activities. Choose from archery, canoeing, cycling, orienteering, sailing and windsurfing.
Safety Education
Practical activity programmes on either water or land to help young people to develop outdoor awareness and activity skills, whilst also learning how to be active safely and respond to emergencies.
PE and outdoor adventure
Take part in a range of outdoor and adventurous challenges as an individual and as part of a team. With a strong focus on team building and problem solving which can be carried out in both water and land environments.
Geography
Learn new navigation skills or develop map and compass work using orienteering and explore the country park with Ordnance Survey maps.
Science
With a range of habitats in a small area, the country park is ideal to explore and identify all living things in woodland, meadow and lake environments.
Environmental & Outdoor Learning
Cross curricular activities are available that combine a variety of environments and learning activities, which enable young people to personally develop whilst increasing outdoor awareness.
Children’s University Learning Destination
Whitlingham Adventure is a Learning Destination for Norfolk’s Children’s University which offers 8 - 14 year olds exciting and innovative activities and experiences outside normal school hours.
Duke of Edinburgh’s Award
Providing opportunities for young people to complete the sections for Volunteering, Physical and Skills across all levels of the award. Camp site is available within the Country Park for school expedition training.
