The Sunrise Outdoor Academy Ltd and the 5 schools that come under our umbrella. We are based in Hampshire in the UK on our own 2500 acre woodland and run a wide variety of programmes throughout the South East of the UK through our 5 centres. We specialise in outdoor education through national qualifications or stepping stones to qualifications aimed at getting people into work, training or back into education and are rapidly becoming the number one School for outdoor training and qualifications in the UK. For several years now we have worked specifically with young offenders, young people whom are NEET (not in education, training or employment), disabled children, children in care, leaving care or at risk of offending, adults with mental illness and learning difficulties and children and young people not in mainstream education. We also run a full mainstream school programme for students from Forest School aged 6 - 11 up to leaving school at 19. In addition we run courses in environmental studies, conservation, permaculture and clinical ecology. Currently we work with many local and national charities as well as running our own charity and Local councils as well as schools , colleges, specialist schools and government organisations. We are approved by the Institute for Learning, have been awarded the governments Learning outside the classroom certificate programme, and are registered as approved learning providers. We are also recognised as a government training organisation one of only a few in the UK. All our programmes are conducted outdoors in a natural environment which has the added benefits to mind, body and spirit which are widely regarded as being as beneficial as the programme itself.
