Nature Workshops

Have an adventure, learn how the earth works, how to use tools, and how build dens! Learn about yourself and each other and have FUN! We create communities of enquiry which build respect, academic, ecological and environmental understanding and improve aesthetic awareness. We explore, play, share, make, build, get creative, follow children’s lead, encourage, enjoy, grow and learn all the time. Activities can include: • Story-telling • Forest / bushcraft Skills • Group games • Knot tying • Singing • Creative natural arts and crafts • Making woodland creatures • Den building • Nature trails • Treasure hunts • Natural music • Wood whittling • Snorkelling • Rock pooling Join us to play games, build fires, cook snacks, tie knots, make friends and learn about nature in our fun-filled outdoor afternoons. Sessions include team challenges, beginner bushcraft skills and creations to make, inspired by the seasons and the materials available in our natural environment. Snacks and drinks around the fire too. We provide an innovative approach to outdoor play and learning. Our philosophy is to encourage and inspire children of any age through positive outdoor experiences. Children will develop: • self-awareness • self regulation • intrinsic motivation • empathy • good social and communication skills • independence • a positive mental attitude • self-esteem • confidence We will also aid children’s understanding, appreciation and care for our natural environment. Although aimed mainly at children, we provide a fun and valuable experience for anyone.
