Waddecar Scout Activity Centre


Description

Set in the Forest of Bowland, an area of outstanding natural beauty, Waddecar is an idylic destination.


Situated to the north of Beacon Fell and on the River Brock, with access to the Bleasdale Fells, there is a range of camping terrains from open fields to leafy woodland and riverside pitches. There is a variety of indoors accommodation on offer and exciting on-site activities to choose from.

Waddecar is also the home of Be Prepared – The Story of Scouting and Guiding the UK’s only purpose-built museum that tells the ongoing story of Scouting and Guiding.

This is a scout camp so can be very noisy but there is enough space for everyone. (August 2024 - Secondary School)

Great facilities however no limits or curfews put on other groups. I did have to intervene when scouts were running through our camp, and noise at night was a problem. (September 2021 - Secondary School)
