The Bug Parc

Unique Invertebrate zoo

Description

The Bug Parc is a unique attraction in Norfolk, being the largest all invertebrate zoo in the UK. See hundreds of incredible tropical insects, millipedes, spiders and tarantulas and so much more. You can even book an hourly handling session where you will handle several large insects and other invertebrates which all the kids and adults always enjoy.
During holidays and weekends when we are at our busiest, it is advisable to pre book your ticket and the handling sessions to avoid disappointment.
With plenty of informative wall boards and loads of large creepy crawlies, there is something for the whole family to enjoy.
Set in a woodland setting, we also have a large butterfly themed affordable cafe and a fabulous gift shop on site and free parking. Dogs are welcome on the patio outside the cafe but cannot come into the parc.
We are a favourite for school visits as we are a unique attraction that the children have likely never seen before and as well as being educational with a lot of easy to read information on the wall boards, and a huge selection of unusual animals to see.... each child, if they wish, has the chance to handle many of the weirdest creatures they have ever seen and to get up close and personal with mini beasts for a memory they will cherish.

Lots to see and explore - site is split into rooms which makes it ideal for smaller groups to visit. (June 2024 - Primary School)

(May 2024 - Primary School)

Super venue - not all open yet and it will be 5 star when complete. Visit was well planned and adjusted to match our needs. (May 2024 - Primary School)

Very knowledgeable staff who tailored their talks to meet the needs of our autistic pupils. The owner was incredibly helpful in ensuring that our group could attend on a day when the park was quiet and kept us informed at all times. Highly recommend this setting. Staff went above and beyond on the day to make sure that we had a great experience. (July 2023 - Primary School & Secondary School)

We took a class of SEND pupils year 7/8 who really enjoyed the experience of the many different insects. They enjoyed listening about different species and types. They particularly enjoyed looking at the ants nest and how they worked. Although the site is currently undergoing different building projects to expand, it is a worthy place to visit for many educational experiences. (May 2023 - Secondary School)
