Not just All About Owls!
Description
Suffolk Owl Sanctuary is a registered charity concerned with the care and conservation of Owls and other Raptors.
We are open to the public for learning opportunities and raising awareness about our collection of captive bred birds from around the world. During the summer months, we offer visitors the chance to see our birds doing what they do best in our engaging and educational flying displays.
Our on-site Raptor Hospital allows us to operate a Rescue, Rehab and Release programme for sick, injured and orphaned wild birds of prey. Working closely with local vets and local landowners to provide the best chance of successful releases, the Hospital treats upwards of 100 birds a year. We also help monitor man-made nest boxes for Owls and Kestrels in the local area.
Our Education team are available for group visits and off-site activities. These are tailored to the groups needs and requirements and our Education Officer is experienced working with SEN students so can ensure that activities are accessible for all.
