Great trip, Study experience were very helpful. Small group of 22 sixth formers so no pastoral issues. Would consider coach next time as had to use the hotel shuttles which proved tricky sometimes with trying to get 22 students on for the same run. Study Experiences made the booking process much easier as they arranged each booking on my behalf. This saved me time and meant that if something changed, they were responsible for updating it. I was also very impressed by how responsive and prompt replies were by office staff and the study experience manager I was assigned. The downside of using them is that you sacrifice a degree of knowledge and control as they are responsible for the bookings. However, they are very useful for first time trip organisers as they provide an extra level of support. (July 2019)

Overall the trip was an enjoyable experience. The staff and students really enjoyed the visits to the park and the netball tournament days. It was great that they all got a trophy and got to play in a final based on skill level. The netball tournament was well run and umpired. The awards evening was good. The cabins that the students stayed in were excellent and they really enjoyed having their own space to be responsible for. Prices for pre-order of packed lunches and dinners were way too expensive. We took our own food which cut costs by 29 euros per person per day. Areas for development The coach driver was reluctant to allow us to watch the fireworks on the last evening and made it difficult for us to do this (although we did do it) he also kept encouraging us to skip things to make his life easier. Having a shared coach with another school did cause complications- sometimes we had to wait for them and this made us late for our first day in the tournament. The coaching session day is way too long and was poorly organised. Lots of teams did not go or left half way through. The duration of 4 hours in the afternoon after a morning at Disney meant students were tired and then getting injured. If I went again I would not do these sessions or do 2 hours only. Some of the coaches had lost enthusiasm and were bored by the afternoon. The awards dinner we were scheduled to attend did not start until 9pm which was very late to wait for dinner. It also meant that we nearly missed the fireworks and had difficulty getting a good enough spot. Other teams had a 6pm dinner and were able to take time to find a good seat for the event.
