Excellent trip, enjoyed by all children and staff. We were able to see a range of animals in their natural habitats and the park keepers were helpful and answered the children's questions. The classroom workshop 'Aren't animals amazing!' was amazing!! The leader was helpful and understanding towards our children with additional needs. The children were very excited to handle real life animals. (April 2019 - Primary - Post No: 11126 )

We really enjoyed seeing all the different animals around the park. All the different areas and enclosures meant we could concentrate on particular animals without distraction of other nearby animals and remain focused. There is a wide variety of animals from large bears, big cats, giraffes and rhinoceros to smaller wallabies, lemurs and baboons. The needs of the animals was obvious to the children by what had been provided in the enclosures. Leaflets with feeding times were provided which meant we could see what foods the animals ate too. The wildlife park itself was lovely and the children really enjoyed the experience. They loved being able to walk through the animals' environments and seeing them in their natural habitats. The only issue that we had was that the children had only one water bottle with them and there were no facilities to fill them up as we were told by a staff member that she couldn't fill them up because they were short staffed on this particular day. The park is a great experience for children with a variety of animals. The workshops are really good and you get to the hold the animals. It was 29 degrees when we went and, as the animals were quite spread out, there was a lot of walking for young children in such heat with not much shaded areas. Day was well organised and the educational sessions were great and the children really enjoyed them. Only problem was when talking to a member of staff regarding a refund, however once we returned to school we phoned the education department team who sorted out the refund straight away.
