Introduction for school trips and educational visits

Pro-Active Adventure is a respected and very experienced provider of outdoor activities and education. Established in 2002 Pro-Active Adventure has a reputation of delivering “Real” adventurous activities that challenge and inspire young people. Activity programmes are designed to promote confidence, leadership and self esteem.
The company was one of the first in the country to be awarded the Learning Outside The Classroom badge. Pro-Actives outdoor education programmes are able to meet all key stages of the national curriculum. Each course is a bespoked programme to meet the individual needs of the learners. 94% of our custom is repeat business year on year. All our instructors are widely experienced and hold multiple National Governing Body Awards and have at least 3 years post qualifying experience. We do not recruit newly qualified instructors each season like many other centres do. All staff holds an enhanced CRB check to work with children. The team have undergone special training in subjects such as child development and child protection.
We offer an extensive range of outdoor activities which we can provide either as day sessions or residentially at our numerous outdoor activity locations all across Wales. Please contact us for full details.

Services include:
• School Trips Abroad
We operate expeditions to Europe including: Crete, France, Morocco and Romania. We can offer all our usual activities in most locations, please call for details and the latest competitive prices.
• Day Sessions:
We can provide individual or multi day activity sessions. You can choose to have two activities per day or a single session lasting all day, just refer to our adventurous activities listed on this site.
• School Residential Activity Breaks:
Pro-Active Adventure specializes in the provision of school residential activity breaks. We have a wide selection of on-site activities that are ideal for pupils of all ages, and off site we have a range of more challenging activities for the more adventurous pupils. We offer a wide range of set programmes ranging from two days to a week. We will also tailor make a programme to suit your individual needs. Please see the activities section on our web site.
Pro-Active Adventure is registered with The Adventure Activities Licensing Authority and is licensed to provide specified activities under the following headings: Kayaking, Open canoeing, Paddle surfing, White water rafting, Rock climbing, Abseiling, Sea level traversing, Gorge scrambling, Hill walking & Mountaineering, Mine Exploration, Off-road cycling and Caving.

Most of our activities satisfy or can be linked to the ‘Learning outside the classroom’ criteria. Pupils will have opportunities to extend their horizons, build their confidence and self-esteem, and develop independence by trying educational activities in a safe, secure environment. We have found time and time again that a residential experience promotes a sense of citizenship and often brings a class and its teacher closer together.


What does a typical school trip or educational visit include?
Pro-Active Adventure caters for all key stages and have numerous programmes already written to meet this need. However we mostly write individual programmes to meet the individual needs of the pupil. Your trip will include all catering, accommodation, full activity programme, transport between activity locations and all specialist equipment. Collection from your school can be arranged from as little as £150.00 depending on distance and numbers.
