This was a very well organised trip. Wakehurst staff had planned an action packed day for us that consolidated our learning in science. The timing was impeccable and there were a number of volunteers and teachers to from Wakhurst to help us too. It was great to discuss with Jojo (the lead Wakehurst teacher) prior the trip, to plan the activities, discuss groupings for each activity so that myself and the year 2 team could plan ahead. Wakehurst Place was an excellent venue to take the children to learn about Plants for their Science topic. The grounds are beautiful and the staff / volunteers very knowledge and helpful in all regards. The selection of options available to choose from was substantial but the choices made through discussion fit the desired learning outcomes and were enjoyed by all. (March 2020 - Primary School)
