It is an excellent first residential for our Year 3's. The site is perfect for a class of 30, it is a safe and interesting environment.

We use this venue every year for our Year 3 groups, and the location provides us with everything needed to support the children's topics. Being within 1/2 hour from our school is ideal for a Residential visit. (April 2019 - Primary School)

The facilities, activities and knowledge of the staff were fantastic and the children had a brilliant experience. The staff were flexible and gave us the choice of activities to do throughout the day, with flexible breaks and down time to burn off steam on the adventure trail. The Stone Age house was brilliant and was the source of many of the children' s questions, which built on the knowledge they had from their topic in school. The children could then use what they had learnt from the staff member to understand the reasons behind the three carousel activities and make links/comparisons to the Stone/Iron Age.
The final part of the day could possibly be improved by being more interactive for the children. They were well behaved and listened intently, however, I feel that there was opportunity to become restless at this point sitting for a long period of time after a full day of activities. No access to indoor space was an issue as one young person was taken ill during the night (October 2018 - Secondary School)
