Dounans: first impressions - the site is a bit shabby and could do with painting. There was a lack of cleaning equipment in the dorms for pupils with ASN. It would help to have some additional seating on the veranda outside dorms.
However the staff and activities were very good and allowance was made for our young people who have more severe and complex needs. I had spoken to Jamie Millar, Manager before arrival and expressed the requirement to have more staff on duty for activities, which he had tried to provide but was himself short staffed. Fortunately we managed but this needs to be addressed as urgent for groups of young people with ASN. (May 2019 - Secondary School)
