Leeds City Council Temple Newsam House

One of the most celebrated historic houses in the country.

Description

Temple Newsam is one of the great houses of England, bursting with treasures and tales. With over 500 years of history, it has been home to many colourful characters.

At Temple Newsam we can help you deliver diverse, creative, skills-based learning across many different curriculum areas. Our Learning Team offer a range of fun, interactive and multi-sensory workshops using the House and Estate’s collections and stories to enhance all styles of learning.

We have workshops for Reception to KS4 pupils, from different century's, based on significant events or people including the Tudors, Victorians and the Fire of London. We also run exciting Early Years interactive stories which help younger children explore the setting with the clever use of puppets and costumes.

We get outstanding feedback and schools rebook every year. It will be an educational trip to remember.
