We can only recommend this area as it is all that we focused on during our visit. (June 2024 - Primary School)

(September 2023 - Secondary School)

(July 2023 - Primary School)

(July 2023 - Primary School)

We went to Ryton Pools to look at mini beasts and their habitats. The Ranger supported the children (and adults) very well by providing a specified area that was closed to the general public; resources and support. She spoke in detail about the creatures we might find and where they could be found. The Ranger started the sessions with a short game to show children how difficult it might be to see mini beasts and how they need to look carefully for them. She also spoke about being kind and careful when looking for and at the min beasts. Ryton Pools provided a classroom which we had exclusive use of, where we could have our lunch. Hot drinks were also provided for the adults. There is also two great, and safe, play areas for children. (June 2023 - Primary School)
