Inspiring love and understanding of art, heritage and the environment

Description

The Devonshire Educational Trust is an independent charity, founded in 2004. The Trust exists to ensure that learning excellence and opportunities take place at Chatsworth, Bolton Abbey and Lismore Castle and are available offsite through outreach work and digital programmes.
We are a small educational charity and are dependent upon donations, fundraising and generating income from our activities and through the hire of our learning centres. These income streams enable us to fulfil our mission while ensuring that our programmes are accessible and socially inclusive.
The impact of Covid-19 has been the catalyst for reviewing our delivery model and target audiences. We are moving towards a blended learning programme: experiences that for many years comprised face-to-face and onsite delivery will co-exist with pre-recorded and live-streamed learning content. This blended model will increase our reach into schools and communities.

Excellent venue. The day worked really well with Year 7 with an hour to an hour and a half through the house (students in specific groups with a member of staff), then we went to visit the farm, had packed lunch at the adventure playground and some "playtime", then went for a walk around the lake. Perfect! Good reviews from students on way home :) (November 2024 - Secondary School)
