- Potential for ongoing learning back in the classroom
Dungeness became the RSPB’s first ever nature reserve back in 1930 and is now famous for its vast array of insect, plant and bird species.
With a teaching pond, minibeast area and bird hide overlooking the open water, it offers an inspiring setting for a memorable learning experience.
Our habitat study session will teach pupils to work scientifically and have fun exploring nature. They will be observing closely, identifying and classifying animals and examining different habitats.
KS1 groups will learn to identify and name a variety of common carnivores, herbivores and omnivores using simple charts. KS2 groups will have the additional opportunity to learn about adaptation and use classification keys.
