The YHA is a fabulous place and worthwhile visiting for a range of purposes. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. We can't wait to go back next year. (November 2024 - Primary School)

A well organised and amazing trip. The children loved the activities which where planned by the YHA and the food was brilliant. A little more detailed itinerary would have been useful but if we were to go again we would know what to expect. Not a fan of having meals in the Tea Room as we did take over the place and the children did put off other groups using the tea room. In the past 12 months there have been a lot of changes with the Youth Hostel management and we have found this year to be disappointing. We have had to compile our own risk assessments and a lot of the activities previously offered have been dropped. (August 2018 - Primary School)
Need allocated staffroom location in accordance with accommodation location. i.e. nearer to us. Plus more flexible with requests to change. Mealtime organisation was not adequate, because room was too small (mini- hotplate trolley in one corner of room not fit for purpose - too congested) (June 2018 - Primary School)
We had an issue the first two evenings at dinner as our children did not eat until after 6.30 which made our evening activity very late for the young children. The third night we were accommodated in the breakfast area which was great. (June 2018 - Primary School)
The format for the stay had changed slightly from the previous year in terms of the way meal times were organised however it worked well. Unfortunately, there was some miscommunication from the YHA in terms of dates for next year so we have not got the dates that we had requested. (June 2018 - Primary School)
