African Adventures is an award-winning volunteer travel company that works with 26 community projects in Africa.
These projects – primarily schools – are located in developing areas of Ghana, Kenya and Zanzibar. We provide them with the resources they need to grow, whilst organising challenging and rewarding group volunteer trips for schools, colleges, universities, charities, Scouts, Girlguides, and youth organisations.
African Adventures takes on the dual role of tour operator and development agency. This means we provide a high-quality service to our volunteers, whilst working in collaboration with our partner projects. Our focus is on improving access to education within the communities where we work, and changing lives for future generations in the process. At the same time, volunteers can experience cultural exchange, and witness sustainable development in action.
African Adventures is a signatory to the United Nations Global Compact, which commits us to upholding the 10 Principles relating to human rights, labour, the environment, and anti-corruption. It also aligns our work to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, which aim to create a better, more sustainable future by the year 2030. We are committed to driving 15 of the 17 Goals, giving our work real focus and meaning.
