YHA Conwy

YHA CONWY YOUTH HOSTEL

Description

YHA Conwy is ideally situated for a range of group trips and has been particularly popular with school groups. Whether taking students to explore the national park of Snowdonia or the coastal towns of Colwyn Bay and Llandudno, the hostel is in a great location to try out a mix of activities.

It is well-equipped to cater for groups of school children as there is a classroom on site as well as a library, conference facilities and group catering. There is also easy access to fun outdoor activities like watersports, abseiling, climbing or coastering/ gorge walking.

History students can investigate the nearby Conwy Castle, a 13th-century fortress used in the Wars of the Roses and the English Civil War. Aberconwy House, the only mediaeval merchant's house to have survived the town's turbulent past, is also a fascinating place where students can find out all about daily life in different periods in history.

Snowdonia is on the doorstep, and there's no better destination for a geography field trip! Pupils can learn about everything from river systems and lakes to how mountains are formed within the beautiful surroundings of the national park.

So if you think that YHA Conwy would be the perfect base for your next group trip, then make an enquiry today.

Food, accomodation and staff were brilliant! Very welcoming and excellant facilities. The outdoor team building sessions run by Pete and Sam were great! Teh children loved taking part and we are able to bring home some of the ideas and games they taught us. A great trip! (March 2020 - Primary School)

The venue was clean and tidy, and all members of staff were helpful with all needs of the group. Food was excellent and dietary requirements were well catered for. Specific needs were always met and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. (November 2018 - Primary School)

Excellent value. (November 2018 - Secondary School)

Rooms very hot due to large windows allowing sunlight in and windows not being able to open wide enough to allow air in (it was a unusually hot few days). Lots of children sick due to heat. However, staff helped as much as possible. Food was fine and rooms clean. (July 2018 - Primary School)
