YHA Dartmoor

Description

Get out on the wild and windy moors with your group – YHA Dartmoor is surrounded by amazing historical sites, wildlife and hiking opportunities. Whether you’re here for the Dartmoor Walking Festival or want to explore the area’s fascinating past, we’re well-equipped for field trips and activity groups. The hostel boasts free Wi-Fi, and a cosy woodburner to snuggle around.

This rural retreat sits in one of Britain’s oldest National Parks and offers plenty of comfy furniture, exposed stone walls and a private meeting room. Use the whiteboard for planning your next long-distance walk or studying the local landscape, or head to our licensed bar for a drink in the evenings.

As well as its famous miniature ponies, the Dartmoor National Park is home to a network of cycling routes and watersports on the River Dart. History lovers can look out for Bronze Age settlements, abandoned tin mines and thriving local communities. We’ve got facilities on site for school groups to investigate locations like Okehampton Castle, or get on your bike for a day at Bellever Forest.
