The Outward Bounds staff were unbelievable with the student, always had activities for the whole group and helped the students develop their everyday life skills by giving them roles and responsibilities to prepare them for their future careers. Great facilities and a wide range of outdoor activities, different experience every day for both students and staff. (June 2019 - Secondary School)

The centre and its staff were excellent. A briefing for ALL staff every morning with plans being submitted to manager of the days activities including safety and a staffing ( extra safety staff from the centre for certain activities). The students were briefed by the instructor before each activity and were supervised during the activity. The instructors were very safety conscious and provided feedback to the students after the activity. The instructors worked well with individual students who were struggling with empathy and encouragement. All activities were well planned including evening activities which was mainly concerned with theoretical aspects from the activities. Some of which were incorporated in the following days activity(planning, teamwork & evaluation). The behaviour of the students was excellent with no major problems ( some low level disruption). The students completed a presentation on the friday, which looked at how the weeks activities impacted on themselves and how it was related to future plans - what they were going to do differently next week. Two students from my group were recommended for a bursary to help develop their skills further. They will probably submit an application (May 2019 - Secondary School)
