(November 2024 - Primary School)

Excellent general teambuilding residential for Year 7 (November 2024 - Secondary School)

(October 2024 - Primary School)

The activities on offer also provide opportunities for team building and building resilience. Children are able to take part in activities not usually on offer in a school setting. (July 2024)

Outdoor Educational activities (May 2024 - Primary School)

(February 2024 - Primary School & Secondary School)

(November 2023)

(September 2023 - Primary School)

(July 2023 - Primary School)

(May 2023 - Primary School)

(March 2023 - Primary School)

(May 2022 - Primary School)

Great array of activities on sight and very helpful staff instructing the children. (May 2022 - Primary School)

(March 2022 - Secondary School)

Excellent instructors. Admin a bit disorganised. (September 2021 - Secondary School)

Young people really enjoyed the day the instructors are really down to earth friendly and vary professional, the instructors made the day. Calton lodge is well managed and kept, the admin staff are amazing and nothing was too out there for them. Really looked after the group before the trip and during. (August 2021 - Secondary School)

Carlton Lodge provided us with a great day of activities to replace our planned residential week. The instructors were great with the children and everything was organised really well (June 2021 - Primary School)

Carlton Lodge was simply the venue for activities organised by other companies therefore I feel I can not give a fair evaluation of the centre and its own activities. (November 2019 - Primary School)

(November 2019 - Secondary School)

Lots of fun packed learning opportunities and activities, lead by very enthusiastic staff. (September 2019 - Primary School)

Great activities and supervision (August 2019 - Primary School)

(June 2019 - Primary School)

Excellent activities, caring friendly staff. (May 2019 - Primary School)

Perfect for what we required - a field to camp in. We did not use the other facilities. (October 2018 - Secondary School)

Amazing 3 days (July 2018 - Primary School)

(July 2018 - Secondary School)

This was the first time that we have visited a smaller residential centre for our annual year 6 visit and we will never look back. The site is fantastic: very safe, secluded and purposeful with outstanding facilities. Being a smaller centre, the highly skilled staff team were able to listen to the children's needs and were brilliant in tailoring activities for each group's needs and interests. I was amazed at how well the staff seemed to know the children and provided such different variations of the same activity (kayaking and raft building for nervous / competant swimmers etc.)The offsite programme was also very well planned. Children were able to have 'real' experiences of caving and bouldering at Brimham Rocks and the Manchester hole under the safe instruction of the centre's expert instructors. Being one of only two schools on site, with our own accommodation and amenity block, really maximised the children's experience of being away. They had time to enjoy the activities fully and freedom to unwind properly on an evening. We have already re-booked for next year. (June 2018 - Primary School)

(April 2018)

(April 2018 - Secondary School)

Staff were fantastic. The children did a good range of activities but were hampered by the snow on one day where we should have had a better back plan of alternative activities. (February 2018 - Primary School)
