Very helpful house staff (July 2024 - Secondary School)

Despite not having a guided session, there was plenty for the children to discover through the self led tours of the house as well as visiting the servant quarters and stables. We were pleased with the resources provided on the Audley End website that we used before and during the visit. (October 2023 - Primary School)

Year 1 have been going to Audley End for some years and it has proved to be a most successful trip experience. It is not too far, a safe space, enhances the learning (toys old and new) from the classroom and gives the children further experience to be out of school. The children behaved well, particularly enjoyed the nursery and the amount of outside space where they were able to play and walk. We are given an Education Room which is invaluable as a base to put bags and coats and eat snack and lunch. What would have enhanced it further was Audley End being more proactive. The trip was booked well in advance and the education element was asked for where members of the team from Audley End dress up and tell children all about life as servants and the rooms the dairy, laundry, kitchen. They need to tell us when booking if this is going ahead. They left it until very late to tell us it was self led. Fortunately this was done last year due to covid so we had some experience of leading it.It seemed that they were quite short on staff more evident than previous years and I imagine this is a common theme everywhere. It needs to be made clear on their website what educational input they are offering and on what days. (October 2022 - Primary School)

This is an amazing venue. (September 2022)
