Coombe Abbey Park (Coventry Outdoors Education Service)

Description

We offer high quality outdoor education. Based on the outskirts of the city we are easily accessible form the motorway network. Topics of study include traditional field studies, team building, right through to vocational training resulting in a recognised qualification.
We work with groups of all ages and abilities and offer everything from formal education to guidedwalks & talks and even birthday parties.
The 500 acre site dates back to the monks who first settled in the area in 1150 and we can trace the changes in the landscape through the enclosures of 1642 to the1770 landscape designs of "Capability" Brown through to the work of the Nesfileld's in 1860's. With 60% of Warwickshires Heron breeding on site and acres of woodland there is plenty to both study and explore.
