LOCATION
Grenville House OEC, formerly an orphanage, is situated in its unique waterside location on the edge of the historic Brixham Harbour boasting outstanding views across Torbay. Accommodation is available for up to 81 in total.
The Centre is within easy reach of:
• The beaches of the Torbay
• Brixham, Paignton and Torquay with their leisure facilities
• Berry Head National Nature Reserve, with its rare and unique flora and fauna, Napoleonic Forts and Sea Bird Colonies
• The Spectacular topography and Geology of the Torbay GEOPARK
• Dartmoor National Park
• The South West Coast Path
• Major sites of interest in Devon and Cornwall

ACTIVITIES
We offer a wide range of both Land and Water based activities including:-
Sit-on tops, Kayaking, Canoeing, Sea Kayaking, Abseiling, Rock Climbing (Indoor and Outdoor), Caving, Dinghy Sailing, Powerboating, Coasteering, Raft Building, High Ropes, Mountain Biking, etc........
You can even gain RYA and BCU qualifications if you wish to.
Our activity sessions are run on a ratio of 6 young people plus 1 accompanying adult leader or 6 adults resulting in high levels of supervision at all times.

EVENT OPTIONS
We can provide memorable experiences for almost any occasion including:

Birthday Celebrations, Staff Bonding days, Team Building and Personal development programmes or simply to try something new and just have fun!

Whatever the event our staff team create a safe, relaxed and friendly family atmosphere. Our flexibility and adaptability helps us to ensure that each visit achieves its aims. We also appreciate that every group has specific needs so we create programmes designed to meet them. We can even provide catering upon request.

THE TEAM
At Grenville House the staff pride themselves on consistently providing a welcoming and friendly atmosphere where visitors are made to feel at ‘Home’. All staff are selected carefully to ensure that they we continue to Educate, Motivate & Nurture wherever possible and of course make it fun.
All Instructional staff are appropriately qualified and suitably experienced to lead the activity sessions that they oversee and are all fully trained in ‘First Aid’.
Our activity sessions are run on a ratio of 6 young people plus 1 accompanying adult leader or 6 adults resulting in high levels of supervision at all times. (See ‘Safety and Operating Instructions’ for exceptions)

PRICES AND BOOKINGS
To make a booking please contact the office by phone/email/via our website or simply call in. The Centre is available at a nightly rate according to the time of year. All activity sessions are based on groups of 6 children plus 1 adult or 6 adults in total for an activity session of approximately 3 hours. Sessions are available in the daytime and evening all year round.
Bookings must be confirmed by completing a booking form, which can be printed off online, and secured with a deposit.

TRANSPORT, PARKING AND ACCESS
The Centre has parking spaces for approximately 15 vehicles. There are also two large municipal car parks situated close by. Please enquire about parking availability prior to your visit.
The Centre has its own 17 seater minibus which can be hired as part of your visit with or without a driver.
Coaches are able to pick up and drop off on the main road outside the front gates, approximately 20 metres from the front door of the Centre.

Great venue and staff. Had problems with refunds when Covid-19 occured. Trip didn't happen but refunds weren't easily obtained. (November 2020 - Primary School)
