We The Curious

Bringing science to life!

Description

With over 50,000 school visits every year, At-Bristol is one of the UK's most popular science centres.

Hundreds of interactive exhibits cover a range of topics to excite and engage your pupils, each supporting classroom teaching and providing memorable experiences in science investigation and exploration.

We have dedicated exhibitions for EYFS and KS1 pupils, an open-access laboratory for KS2 and KS3 students and innovative programmes to challenge GCSE and A-level students in areas of psychology and genetics. A full programme of workshops, shows and special theme days for EYFS to Post-16 level can be viewed at www.at-bristol.org.uk/education

There's always something new at the science centre, and this year At-Bristol has several exciting new additions:
IN THE ZONE! At-Bristol's latest experience takes pupils through 5 interactive studios as they create their own footage investigating sport and exercise. See veins under near-infra red cameras, explore forces with high-speed cameras and force plates and learn more about muscle fatigue with an uphill hand-cycle challenge! Plus, At-Bristol’s unique Explore More technology means that every interaction is captured on film and the data and footage is ready for further exploration when you return to school. Supported by Wellcome Trust.

BUILD IT! This immersive role-play environment allows EYFS and Key Stage 1 pupils to experiment and get creative in the setting of a working construction site. Grab a hard hat and high vis as you climb the scaffold to tile the roof, build the walls and transport materials around the site.

Plus, as the revised curriculum arrives in schools, At-Bristol is busy updating their education programmes to align with the updated and new programmes of study.
