Our Year 2 trip to Selly Manor was an absolute delight! The experience was both educational and engaging, providing our students with a wonderful opportunity to step back in time and explore history firsthand. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed warmly by the knowledgeable and friendly staff. Their passion for history was evident and contagious, capturing the imaginations of our young learners right away. The guided tour was superb, filled with fascinating stories and interactive elements that kept the children captivated. They particularly loved dressing up in period costumes and trying their hand at traditional games and activities. The manor itself is beautifully preserved and offers a fantastic glimpse into Tudor life. The rooms are meticulously maintained, each filled with interesting artifacts and displays that made history come alive for our students. It was evident that a lot of thought and care had gone into creating an immersive and educational experience. One of the highlights of the trip was the hands-on workshop where the children had the chance to work in groups to make their own garden village. This not only reinforced what they had learned during the tour but also allowed them to express their creativity. The facilities at Selly Manor were excellent, with clean, well-maintained restrooms. The gift shop was also a hit, offering a range of reasonably priced items that the children were excited to purchase as souvenirs. Overall, our trip to Selly Manor was a resounding success. It provided an enriching experience that combined education with fun, leaving our Year 2 students with lasting memories and a deeper understanding of George Cadbury and Bournville. We would highly recommend Selly Manor to other schools looking for an engaging and educational outing. Thank you to everyone at Selly Manor for making our visit so special!
