The trip was a huge success! It was wonderful to be able to find a trip that was completely appropriate for the children in reception. It was hands on, visual and memorable. The children since have been able to talk in depth about their visit, including what they saw, what they liked, how things worked and activities they had taken part in. The steam train was a huge hit!
We will definitely be visiting again. It would have been beneficial for us to have attended at the end of our topic last half term rather that at the beginning of this half term but this was not possible. I have already spoken with SThatcher about moving the topic to another point in the school year as before Easter is always a busy time for us. (April 2024 - Primary School)
