a very well organised and lead workshop with especially friendly and knowledgeable staff (March 2024 - Primary School)

The volunteer group is called 'Heath Hands': they request help working on Hampstead Heath and educate the public about conservation, protecting flora and fauna in an urban environment, managing green spaces etc. It is a small outfit though, and this visit was rather disastrous because a torrential downpour meant trying to squeeze 60 children into their indoor space, which accommodates about 25. (March 2024 - Secondary School)

They were very good at supplying resources for the students, such as leaf grabbers, gloves, cagoules, litter pickers etc. Enthusiastic staff. (March 2024 - Secondary School)

The actual organisation we used is called 'Heath Hands'. They work to maintain Hampstead Heath, and educate the public about nature, conservation, the role of park rangers etc. They are very informative. (March 2024 - Secondary School)

(January 2024 - Primary School)

(January 2024 - Primary School)

(May 2023 - Primary School)

Students learned how to use compass directions and coordinates to follow a route on a map, they also enjoyed the competitive nature of the activity. (February 2023 - Primary School)

Excellent leadership and health and safety advice from rangers (February 2023 - Primary School)

(September 2022 - Primary School)

(March 2022 - Secondary School)

Please note that address of Centre is different to the Golders Hill Park venue. This needs to be adapted for next year. The workshop is FANTASTIC and the students had a wonderful time. (February 2022 - Primary School)

Usually very organised, and informative sessions. This one was not quite as relevant at the previous ones because, in error, they prepared the wrong session for us. However, the students still were able to use much of what they had learned in the classroom in a practical setting. So the trip was still worth while. (May 2021 - Primary School)

The staff acted very professionally and were careful to ensure the students' safety at all times, particularly around the water. They were knowledgeable and the students learned from the planned experiences. (February 2020 - Primary School)

(January 2020 - Primary School)

We did not go there. (April 2019 - Primary School)

(March 2019 - Primary School)

Lovely venue, age appropriate and lots of hands on activities. (September 2018 - Primary School)

Well planned workshop with professional instructors (June 2018 - Primary School)

(June 2018)

(May 2018 - Primary School)

(April 2018 - Primary School)

Good experience. More differentiation would be beneficial (December 2017)
