The leader we had was slightly rigid for the age of the children. We did put this on the evaluation that they provided us. I would have liked it if the children were allowed slightly more freedom to explore. Other than that, activities were well run and the children had a fabulous time. (October 2022 - Primary School)

In the morning the trail around Banstead Woods helped with map skills and team building. The additional woodland information was very informative and interested all the pupils.
The children were clearly introduced to orienteering. They were given the skills that enabled them to follow an orienteering course and these skills will be followed up in school. (October 2019 - Primary School)

Really pleased with the experience the children had and the fantastic staff who helped the children and shared their knowledge. (June 2019 - Primary School)

Excellent facilities, knowledgeable hands on staff and a well maintained, safe environment for young and older children to explore and gain a greater understanding of the world around them. (April 2018 - Primary School)
Our Year 1 team absolutely loved Nower Wood as a venue and only had good things to say about the staff there. The one problem that they would like to highlight is the wheelchair access. We were told that wheelchair access would be no problem, but this was not the case, as our little boy who uses a wheelchair was unable to access some of the pathways. We appreciate that the weather was somewhat at fault as it was freezing, slushy and icy, but the teachers did struggle to be able to take the little boy around to all of the parts of the wood that the others were seeing. Also, the path up to the centre was too steep to push a wheelchair up and the option to drive to the top, as was sign-posted, was not viable as our children came in a coach. In spite of this and the freezing weather, the children had a great time and the staff were extremely flexible in managing the activities to suit the weather conditions. (March 2018)
