children were engaged by the displays and found out lots facts about the sea creatures (February 2020 - Primary School)

Positives excellent penguins nursery children were fascinated by the fish Negatives Dirty toilets We arrived in the rain, there wasn't anywhere to hang up our coats, they were put in a container with all of our lunches so they were still wet when the children put them on at the end of the day Father Christmas was very disappointing. He popped into the classroom for only 2 minutes when we were having lunch. He very briefly spoke to a few children and left. He didn't bring the presents, we found them in a small paper bag in the classroom. The presents were very disappointing - they were like the sort of thing that children have when they have a happy meal at McDonalds. (December 2019 - Primary School)

Experience in the Sealife Centre was good, plenty of animals and boards with information about conservation. Lunchtimes were organised by the centre and schools were told that they could not eat in the public eating areas (not mentioned on website). We were designated a slot in the lunch room at 1.10pm. This was much later than we were intending to eat but we could not change it. When we got to the lunch room at 1.10pm it was not ready so we had to wait around in the corridor. There was limited seating so not all staff members could sit down. (November 2019 - Primary School)

(August 2019 - Secondary School)

(July 2019 - Primary School)

The children enjoyed the centre, however when organising the trip the venue was very unhelpful and not good a providing all information that we were asking for. (June 2019 - Primary School)

We found some staff to be rude and unaccommodating. There was 6 other schools there and still open to the general public. (June 2019 - Primary School)

(May 2019 - Primary School)

(April 2019 - Primary School)

Super trip, great value for money! (March 2019 - Primary School)

Excellent learning environment, appropriate for the age of our children. Staff were friendly and well-organised. Only disappointment was that part was close for refurbishment, (March 2019 - Primary School)

Well organised activities. (March 2019 - Secondary School)

cold day but asked to queue outside -not ideal (February 2019 - Primary School)

(January 2019 - Primary School)

Safe and interesting. Doesn't last the whole day (November 2018 - Primary School)

Great place but a difficult environment to some extent. It was very busy, dark and noisy which could have been an issue with some students. (November 2018 - Secondary School)

(October 2018 - Primary School)

(October 2018 - Secondary School)

The staff were incredibly helpful throughout the trip however parking was difficult and no one was able to help us find the designated parking. (August 2018 - Primary School)

(July 2018)

(July 2018 - Secondary School)

Very disorganised. Too many school groups there for our children to really benefit from staff talks as it was so busy they often could not hear. (July 2018 - Primary School)

The staff at the venue were really helpful as we arrived early but they let us in (despite the booking saying they would not). The children enjoyed every minute of their day. Would definitely take them again. The only issue is the parking - there is no car park at the venue; the minibuses are too big for public car parks; coach car parks are a distance from the venue. (June 2018 - Primary School)

(June 2018 - Primary School)

very knowledgeable staff and were able to converse at the childrens level. (April 2018 - Primary School)

The Sea Life Centre was quite busy and difficult in some areas to move with a wheelchair. Staff were helpful when first aid was needed. (April 2018 - Primary School)

Building works which we were aware of however we were told there would be no disruption to the visit. There was disruption as children only had access to one set of toilets. We also had to navigate around the centre via staff only passages and stairwells which were unsafe for children i.e Pest control accessible for children, unsuitable concrete stairs. Due to staffing we received very little support. Shows and demonstrations were late also. I do feel they should of explained the situations accurately as I may have chosen not to take 30 4 year olds had I of been aware. (April 2018 - Primary School)

(February 2018 - Secondary School)

(January 2018 - Primary School)

Very busy but interesting and informative. (January 2018 - Primary School)
