It's a great base for visiting important historical sites such as the D Day beaches, Mont St Michel, Fougères. Also, most staff who work with the children are French native speakers which is great for French immersion. (March 2024 - Secondary School)

Have been going for 5 years and there were too many things went wrong. (June 2023 - Secondary School)

A fantastic trip, well organised. Chateau staff and activities were great, food provided excellent. (May 2023 - Secondary School)

(May 2023 - Secondary School)

Having visited this centre for a number of years, I would recommend anyone to be adventurous and take children on this trip. (April 2023 - Primary School)

The fire alarm system was verging on unsafe, meaning calls to senior leadership on our first night and additional measures we had to add to our processes and risk management in order to mitigate shortcomings. The latter included: - fire alarm not audible in all bathrooms/inaudible in the shower - if fire alarm sounds in one accommodation block, this is not audible on whole site. In addition, half of the rooms were without heating and half without hot water. Rooms were also not fully clean in certain cases. (March 2023 - Secondary School)

As always, the Chateau staff were fantastic and the kids had an excellent time. The staff were very encouraging in using target language and getting the kids to use it too in an authentic French setting. The activities and events outside of excursions were brilliant and the pupils really enjoyed their time at the Chateau and getting involved. (August 2022 - Secondary School)

All of our year pupils fully enjoyed the trip. It is perfect for year 8's and that age group. We were extremely happy with the chateau staff and how efficient they were. (June 2022 - Secondary School)

(March 2020 - Secondary School)

Chateau Beaumont were friendly and accommodating. Accommodations are basic but serve the purpose. My main concern is that some of the staff had very little ability to speak French. The two main contact had very good French but the others, interacting with students as kitchen staff and activity leaders had very poor control of the language. I believe this was a missed opportunity. (February 2020 - Secondary School)

supportive and professional (November 2019 - Secondary School)

(November 2019 - Secondary School)

(September 2019 - Secondary School)

A very positive experience. The staff were great. The activities were well organised and fun. The food was great. Just one aspect that could improve is to update the doors and the bathrooms in the sleeping areas. The rest of the accommodation was good. (July 2019 - Secondary School)

(June 2019 - Primary School)

(May 2019 - Primary School)

Well organised, great team and children thoroughly enjoyed it. Will go again next year. Just discussed about balancing excursions with on site activities for next year. (April 2019 - Primary School)

(April 2019 - Primary School)

Amazing opportunities to improve French and cultural understanding (March 2019 - Secondary School)

(November 2018 - Primary School)

Accommodation was weak, a real damp smell about the place. A hardworking team and the children had an amazing time. Trips out were good but activities had to be swapped around due to lack of staff on duty trained to lead certain activities. Teachers couldn't take part in zip-wire which was a shame for the children as they always love to see this. Food was good. Shows cold for 17 pupils all week despite reporting - this made things difficult. (June 2018 - Primary School)

Activities & excursions good. Food good. Staff Excellent. Accommodation basic. Unfortunately there were communication, organisation and leadership issues that we had not experienced before. All of this was reported back through final feedback. (April 2018 - Primary School)
