Hilltop Outdoor Centre in Sheringham is a high quality, family run, independent Outdoor Education Centre.
Set in 26 Acres of picturesque woodlands overlooking the Norfolk coastline, Hilltop offers modern & comfortable facilities for schools delivering educational visits including engaging and inspiring discovery sessions such as Coastal erosion, bush craft etc, and an array of challenging Adventure Activities such as Climbing Walls, High Ropes Courses, Zip Wires, Air Jump, Archery and much more!

Centre was fantastic and very well organised. Staff well trained and activities ensured that all children were involved at all times.
Two children (CSM and HK) with additional needs demonstrated some behaviours that could potentially mean it is unsafe to take them on future visits if the risks cannot be managed. These included:
CSM- difficulty regulating demonstrated by screaming and shouting, aggression towards others, inability to listen to and follow instructions.
HK- Refusals to engage, inability to follow instructions and absconding which required Team teach to manage.
In addition to having 1:1 support, we were able to keep them safe at this centre by providing safe spaces to regulate, time away from activities, vehicle transport back to base during the off-site activity and adaptations to timings eg early bedtime, ability to leave the dining room once they finished eating, showering whilst others were on activities etc.

An amazing outdoor adventurous centre. The staff were experienced and knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. The activities and equipment were of a high standard as was the selection of food! The children have not stopped talking about what a fantastic time they had. We will definitely book again! The residential was a great success. The children embraced all the activities planned and enjoyed meeting the children form the other schools. Always amazing. The staff, from the office to the activity instructors to the catering and housekeeping teams are all friendly and patient. The instructors give the children confidence to try things out of their comfort zone and challenge themselves in a supported way. The children all thought it was great and rated it 11 out of 10. The zip line was really well - liked, but also the tree top trail and the air jump were hugely liked too. The wet, cold weather was not so enjoyed by the children however. All the children would like to return again some time.
