The Peter Ashley Activity Centres are based on the south coast, just north of Portsmouth and is a registered charity providing and enabling a wide range of sports and activities for children and adults.
Fort Purbrook Activity Centre is an accredited partner of the British Activity Providers Association, along with holding both the Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge and the AdventureMark Award. The Centre provides a fantastic mix of outdoor and academic linked activities including: Archery, Air Rifle shooting, Assault Courses, Climbing, Bushcraft, Mountain Biking, Initiative Testing, Holiday Activities, and Team Building.
The centres are open all year round to welcome schools, colleges, clubs, youth groups and individuals of all ages. Whether you are planning a visit for a particular activity or for a longer stay we hope to see you soon and that you will enjoy the unique atmosphere afforded by these historic buildings.
There is no doubt that the historic environment of the Forts, with unrivalled views over Portsmouth, make for a unique setting in which to learn and enjoy new and challenging activities. Over the years, thousands of young people and members of the community of all ages and abilities have enjoyed the “experience of the Forts”.
