Anglia are members of ABTA, ATOL and STF and hold the LOTC badge. As a member of the School Travel Forum, Anglia are annually audited by an external body; Argent. For the 9th year running, in 2021 Anglia passed our audit with no recommendations to make any improvements.

Lorna Horne provided excellent support organising the tour and Sean Cripps and Brendan Joyce were superb guides who adapted the tour to fit in pilgrimages for our students. The Tour Operators have been bought by NGT and they are not as organised as they were previously. The price has increased by £50 per student, yet we only get one guide per coach instead of two. Their expectations of when we can pay for the trip are unrealistic, (November 2023 - Secondary School)

Fantastic venue. Accommodation was perfect for us - close to the train station and key points of interest and a self-contained games area for briefings and a place for pupils to meet up in the evening. The guide was very knowledgeable and obliging and the mix of sites visited allowed us to cater for both GCSE units studied as well as elements of KS3 History learnt. NEVER EVER use Coach Travel Solutions - they cancelled the booking with Anglia less than 24 hours before departure.
THOROUGHLY recommend Bouden Travel from Bimingham who stepped in at the last minute to recue the trip.

The trip went smoothly and we were very well-looked-after by Anglia Tours. The accommodation was a little unsatisfactory on the first night (potential security and safety issues), but this was mainly because we did not finalise accommodation until too late. The tour was well organised and guided but we had an issue with one of the guides who used language that one girl felt was racist. Anglia Tours have been informed and this guide will not accompany SHS on any further trips. Parents have emailed the school and are being met by me and CB to resolve this issue. On another note, some girls in the year group were disrespectful of the guides (muttered comments, chatting and falling asleep during talks) and had to be repeatedly told to quieten down/be respectful etc. Next year's cohort will have to sign an amended Code of Conduct form which includes a dress code - too many girls were inappropriately dressed (cropped tops mainly).
